The Sapientis Online Classroom

Lectures and tutorials take place in the Sapientis Online Classroom.

This classroom uses a state-of-the-art video conferencing program. With this new technology, professors can present courses live to students from all over the world. The classroom features a streaming video feed of the instructor, instant VoIP access for all students, a chat bar for instant messaging, a PowerPoint presenter, desktop share technology, whiteboard capabilities, audio-video recorder, shared internet browser, a file sharing folder, and a complete list of participants.

System requirements for the online classroom.

-Windows, Linux, or Mac Operating System or a smartphone system such as iPhone or Blackberry
-Internet with a minimum 20 Kbps dial-up connection. (DSL/Broadband recommended)
-Adobe Flashplayer (free download)
-A microphone if you want to ask questions or make comments. Otherwise, you can type out your questions/comments in the chat bar.
-A videocam if you want other students to see you when you talk.
